LSWCD is also hosting a Backyard Conservation Open House on Friday, May 1 from 8:00-6:00 (see their address above). They’ll have several varieties of native plant plugs available for sale that day, as well as any leftover trees from the tree sale. The Toledo Zoo: Wild Toledo:
The Zoo will host open greenhouse shopping days this year, as follows:
10:00-2:00 May 9, 16, 17 & 30, and June 13 & 27. More open house dates for July and August will be announced later in the season.
You can pre-order via the website (wildtoledo.org) or just show up and browse. Parking will be available right next to the native plant greenhouse and will be no charge. Entrance is via the Anthony Wayne trail main zoo entrance.
The Zoo will also be a vendor at the 30th Annual Flower Day Celebration at the Toledo Farmers Market on May 25 (8:00 – 2:00) and May 26 (8:00 – 3:00).
