We have one stewardship event for November 2019:
Sunday, November 10 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM – Invasives removal in Ottawa Hills
We’ll be helping to cut and treat invasives near the Ottawa River floodplain. Members Kate Mason-Wolf and Kim Smith have adopted this area for the Adopt-A-Natural-Area (AANA) program that is sponsored by Green Ribbon Initiative. We’ve already removed a great deal of honeysuckle and buckthorn, but there’s much more work to be done!
Please meet at the work site on Brookside Road in Ottawa Hills. The map on the right shows the work area (click to enlarge it). We’ll be parking along the road. A close physical address is 4044 Brookside Rd., Ottawa Hills. There is some road construction in the area, but you will be able to drive around the construction signs.
Please bring water and wear long pants, closed-toe shoes, and work gloves. If you have hand pruners or long-handled loppers, feel free to bring those too. We’ll have some tools available at the work site.
Please RSVP to email@example.com.
