Monthly Stewardship Events

We have two stewardship events for October 2019:

Sunday, October 6 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM – Invasives removal in Ottawa Hills

Ottawa Hills AANA SiteWe’ll be helping to cut and treat invasives near the Ottawa River floodplain. Members Kate Mason-Wolf and Kim Smith have adopted this area for the Adopt-A-Natural-Area (AANA) program that is sponsored by Green Ribbon Initiative. We’ve already removed a great deal of honeysuckle and buckthorn, but there’s much more work to be done!

Please meet at the work site on Brookside Road in Ottawa Hills. The map on the right shows the work area (click to enlarge it). We’ll be parking along the road. A close physical address is 4044 Brookside Rd., Ottawa Hills, OH 43606. There is some road construction in the area, but you will be able to drive around the construction signs.

Please RSVP to (Note: We may be at capacity for this event already, unless you can bring your own hand tools.)

Saturday, October 12 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM – Native Seed Collecting on Private Property

We’ll be Seed Collecting on private property, and using the seeds we collect for the Seed Swap and other events.
